Brainstorming

In pairs, ask students to write a list of things related to the topic you are working in class, for example, a list of things to take on a beach holiday and give an example to them. The first pair to think of ten things should shout stop. Check their list as a class and if correct, they win the competition. Giving them a possitive point motivates them quite a lot.
