Alternatives to Reading Aloud in Class VI

The initial reading is done with the CD playing, they then read again silently and label the characters in the illustrations. You finally answer the call to read aloud by playing some pre-edited clips of the film (Wizard of Oz by the way) and asking some students to read as a narration to the film. It is a very challenging activity because students have to keep pace with the film, whether they had to speed up to follow the action or slow down to allow for establishing panning shots.
