Superlative noughts and crosses

Select some superlative adjectives and write one of them on the board. Students will have to tell you things, places or people that would be representative of the adjective, saying a sentence

Do the same with the other adjectives you had selected.

Draw a noughts and crosses grid on the board and make two teams. Teach students how the game of noughts and crosses works.

Then write a name in each of the squares: names of famous people, places, food, etc.

Students then play noughts and crosses. If they want to fill a square they have to say a sentence using the name in the square and a superlative adjective. They cannot repeat an adjective said by another student before.
