Looking for a flat

Here is a good speaking activity you can carry out with your students using VOXOPOP.
First divide your students in two groups. One group will be the estate agents and the other will be the people looking for a flat to rent.
The estate agents will offer flats in a determined area, as well as the tenants to be, who will be looking for a flat also in a determined area. Here is an example.
Then students will have to:
- Record an announcement offering flats to rent in an area in London.
- Listen to the recordings, find the area where you would like to live and specify the characteristics of the flat you are looking for.
- Arrange when the tenant can move into the flat.
