Connect Four

Draw a grid on the board. Here is an example you can adpat.

Keep	Hope	Start	Expect
Manage	Avoid	Risk	Pretend
Feel like	Dream	Refuse	Promise
Teach	Help	Succeed	Give up

Divide the calss into two teams and give each group a symbol, eg X and O. Team one chooses a square and makes a sentence using that verb followed by a second verb. If their answer is grammatically correct and makes sense, write their symbol in the appropriate square. If it's incorrect, team two can correct the sentence and win the square. Teams continue taking turns to choose squares, trying to make a line of four connecting squares in any direction. The first team to connect four wins the game.
